When washing your pillowcase, opt for a mild detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics and free from bleach. Use the delicate or most gentle cycle setting on your washer, along with cool water not exceeding 30°C or 84°F. Cooler water temperatures are better as warmer water can gradually degrade the threading of your pillowcase over time.

To prevent snagging or agitation from items like zippers and bra closures, it is advisable to place your pillowcase in a mesh laundry bag.

This extra precaution will keep your pillowcase separate and safe during the washing process. Enjoy the convenience of machine-washing your silk pillowcases without the need for dry cleaning.
